Saline Creek Bridge Replacement
 

The Missouri Department of Transportation proposes to replace the historic Saline Creek bridge on Route 17 in Miller County. The current structure was built in 1925 and is located about three miles north of the Route 17 and Route 52 intersection. The potential new bridge would be constructed in the same location and would be eight feet wider than the current structure.

U.S. 54
Eastbound U.S. 54 Resurfacing
 

The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface eight miles of eastbound U.S. 54 in Miller County, from Business 54 near Eldon to the Cole County line. Magruder Paving LLC of St. Louis, Mo. was awarded the contract for the work.

The resurfacing will take place during summer 2011.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface 2.4 miles of Route 52 in Miller County, from east of U.S. 54 to near Hays Drive in Eldon. APAC-Missouri, Inc. of Columbia, Mo. was awarded the contract for the work. The resurfacing is scheduled for summer 2011.

Route 87

Route 87 in Moniteau and Miller Counties

Thin Lift Overlay Resurfacing

 

The Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface almost 10 miles of Route 87, from Route C in Moniteau County to just north of Business 54 in Miller County. APAC-Missouri, Inc. of Columbia, Mo. was awarded the contract for the work. The resurfacing is scheduled for summer 2011.

Route 17
Route 17 Osage River Bridge Replacement
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act   Project Complete

In 2010, the Missouri Department of Transportation replaced the Route 17 bridge over the Osage River, one mile east of Tuscumbia. The project included removing the existing bridge and constructing a new bridge just west of the existing structure. Nearly one-half mile of new roadway was constructed, increasing sight distance on the south side of the bridge. The existing bridge was completed in 1933 at a width of 20 feet. The new bridge is 28 feet wide, including shoulders to increase safety.

Contractor: APAC-Kansas Inc.

Award Cost: $8,489,728.28

Completion Date: Fall 2010
